   ISO 17712, a standard procedure for container mechanical seals launched by the ISO International Organization for Standardization. This standardized procedure will help companies responsible for the sealing business to effectively cope with a large number of security and anti-theft challenges during transportation.

        All containers that have adopted the ISO17712 standard sealing procedure will be affixed with a unique mark at the sealing point to ensure that they are indeed sealed. In addition, the standard also classifies and refines the sealing procedures, and uses different sealing signs for containers that are received or returned. In order to strengthen the control of the sealing procedure and ensure the quality of the sealing operation process,

the new standard divides the sealing into 6 steps:

      1. Design each link of the sealing process;
      2. The actual experience of the manufacturer;
      3. Transit between shippers and intermediate distributors;
      4. Uniform standardization of sealing operation;
      5. Management during the journey;
      6. Storage of after-sales data.

                         ISO17712 provides the only and universal container sealing standard for international trade, and is also the only publisher of such information. It has been recommended that the World Customs Federation, the International Shipping Federation and the International Labour Organization should be used for the calibration of container sealing conditions. It is now required to seal containers with "meeting or exceeding" seals that meet or exceed the "existing ISO 17712" (HIGH SECURITY SEAL) high security seal standard".
